Quality Promotion Effect of Dora Polytite on Corn

01. Purpose

In order to test the quality promotion effects of Dora Polytite.

2. Materials and Methods

2.1 Test materials:
Maize seed, the biostimulant is Polytite liquid, a polytite product chelated with trace elements(Cu, Fe, Zn, Mn, Mo, B), which was provided by Suzhou Dora Agritech Co., Ltd.

2.2 Test method
The experiment was conducted in the open-field, Hongqiao Village, Changshu, Suzhou, China. A total of 2 treatment groups were set up in the experiment. 10 plants were set in each group. Two sets of repetitions.

Group A: Control group
Group B: Polytite treated group (500x dilution, apply 3 times at 14 days interval)
Seed sowing: Sow seeds on 15th July, and apply Dora RootGuard for the first time.
Seedling stage and vegetative stage: Apply Dora Polytite & RootGuard at 14 days intervals.
flowering and silking stage: Apply pesticides and Trapest at intervals.

Excel was used for data statistical analysis.

The differences on maize seedlings are obvious. More seedlings survived in treated group.

4. Trial Results

1. In growth aspect, the vertical growth (plant height) differences between two groups are not obvious, but the opposite happens with lateral growth (stem width), which means the Polytite helps plants utilize nutrients and promote growth not in height, but accumulating in the whole maize plant.

2. Thanks to the trace elements contained in Polytite, the leaves in the treatment group have few lesions and curls. In the typhoon weather, the stems in the treatment group are not broken by the wind.

3. In harvest time, we can draw conclusions from fresh and dry weight: The maize fruits in treated group are heavier, they have optimized size, more and plumped grains. This shows the Polytite has good effect in maintaining fruit size, making grains plumped and evenly distributed.

4. The dry hundred grains weight and grains rate show the dry matter accumulation in maize growth, the application of Polytite can significantly improve this point, that’s the reason why the fruit weight and grain size are in good value in treated group.

In summary, Dora Polytite is evident in helping maize plants grow in high quality, improving the utilization of nutrients into maize dry matter accumulation. In fresh weight, it can help maize’s yield increased by 31.9%, 41.0% yield increased in dry weight. At the same time as the increase in production, the quality of maize is also improved simultaneously. Plump and uniform grain increases the economic benefit of the growers.

In this time, there are totally 3 times of root applications of Polytite at 10L per hectare (Drip irrigation can be less dosage), bringing a worry-free planting experience. As the elements products and NPK products are not stable in market, the advent of Polytite will increase fertilizer utilization performance and provide more economical elemental nutrition.
