The timing of watering the turn – green water mainly depends on the local temperature and the thawing of the soil layers. Generally, when the average temperature stabilizes at around 3℃, it is time to start watering the turn – green water. At this point, the frozen soil layer has thawed, allowing plants to absorb and utilize the water. However, due to the significant climate differences between the north and south of China, the timing of applying the turn – green water varies in different regions.

 

Typically, after the Rain Water solar term, the temperature in the Central Plains and the Huang – Huai Plain regions stabilizes between 3 – 6℃, the average temperature in the Jiangnan region is around 5℃, the temperature in the South China region is above 10℃, and the temperature in the central part of North China, such as Hebei and Beijing, rises above 0℃. In contrast, the temperature in Northeast China, Northwest China, and the northern part of North China rises more slowly, and it is approximately around mid – April when the temperature recovers.

  1. Choose the Appropriate Time: Watering in the warm morning is the most suitable.
