NAA, 1-Naphthylacetic Acid is a broad-spectrum rooting auxin plant growth hormones, which can enter the plant body through plant leaves and reach vigorous growth parts together with the nutritions conduction.

NAA hormone can promote root differentiation and formation, accelerate root transplantings and cuttings, induce flowering, accelerate chlorophyll synthesis, reduce fruit dropping, improve crop maturity, and increase crop yields.

Applications of NAA Hormone

1. Target Crop

Grain and oil crops: Soybean, rape, wheat, corn, sesame, cotton, rapeseed, palm and etc.
Fruits: Citrus, apple, strawberry, melon, grape, cherry, and etc.
Tuber crops: Peanut, potato, garlic, cassava and etc.
Vegetables: Tomato, chili pepper, melons, cucumber, eggplant, tea, tobacco, and etc.  

Wheat and rice are dipped in 20-40mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution (6-12 hours) or sprayed during fertility to promote growth, early maturity and increase yield.

Tomatoes can be sprayed with 10-20mg/L after flowering to promote growth and increase yield.

Litchi in litchi overgrowth, not differentiated flower buds, with 200-400mg/L of naa auxin solution sprayed throughout the tree, can inhibit new growth, increase the number of flowering branches, improve fruit yield.

Cucumber will be dipped in 2000mg/L 1-naphthylacetic acid for 5s and cuttings immediately to promote the rooting of cuttings; in 1-3 true leaves of cucumber, sprayed with 10mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution to increase the number of female flowers of cucumber.

Watermelon is sprayed with 30-50mg/L naa fruiting setting hormone at the flowering stage of watermelon, once every 7-10d, 4-5 times in total, which can promote the growth of watermelon fruits.

Avocado to inhibit the growth of avocado grafted branches in the interface below, when the grafted plant branches grow to about 12cm, with 0.3-0.4% naphthalene acetic acid treatment, can inhibit the growth of these new tips.

Maize and cereals are dipped in 20-50mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution to promote the growth and increase the yield of maize and cereals. Spraying the grain ears and their flag leaves with 20-40mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution during the grain filling period. It can promote grain filling, make the seeds full and increase the thousand grain weight. If sprayed with potassium dihydrogen phosphate at the same time, the effect will be better.

Citrus can improve seed germination rate by dipping seeds in 40mg/L solution; dipping the lower 1.5cm of autumn hardwood plugs into 100mg/L solution and then cuttings can promote rooting of plugs. Spraying 350mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution at the young fruit stage can thin some of the young fruits, so that the fruit on the fruit tree will be larger and the yield of the year will not be higher. The fruit size of the grapes was increased, and the yield of the year was not reduced, nor did it turn into a small year in the calendar year.

In pineapples, 20-30 ml of 15-20 mg/L naa hormone solution was injected into the leaf axils of each plant, and the bud extraction rate reached more than 90%; 100 mg/L and 200 mg/L solution was sprayed when the florets were half open and after flowering, respectively, to promote the fruit size of pineapples.

Melon in the flowering stage with 200-300mg / L naphthalene acetic acid solution spray flowers, can improve the melon fruiting rate.

Pepper in the flowering period with 50mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution every 7-10 days spray once, before and after a total of 4-5 times, can significantly reduce the pepper falling flowers, improve fruit setting rate, increase fruit number and fruit weight, and enhance the resistance to disease and stress.

Cannabis cannabis growth period with 10-100ppm naphthalene acetic acid solution to irrigate the roots, can promote fiber elongation, improve quality and increase yield.

Cotton is sprayed with 10-20mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution at the flowering stage, which can increase the yield of cotton.

The cuttings were soaked in a 20-80 mg/L naa rooting hormone solution for 8-12 h before being placed in the seedbed, and then the temperature and humidity were maintained. The cuttings can be rooted in the seedbed for about 1 month with 100% rooting rate; 4-12 days after flowering
Spray with 100-150mg/L solution, it has a good effect of fruit thinning, especially for varieties with too densely planted fruit spikes, to prevent the fruit spikes from rotting and increase the fruit grains.

Mango was sprayed with 50-100mg/L of naa hormone once after flowering and when the fruit resembled pea size, which could reduce the physiological fruit drop of mango and the fruit preservation effect was obvious.

Potatoes are dipped in a solution of 20-50mg/L for 2-24h to promote rooting. Generally, a 3% concentration is used and the plants are sprayed two weeks before harvest.

Carrots are sprayed with 1000-5000mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution 4 days before harvesting, which can effectively inhibit sprouting during storage when the storage temperature is low.

Apples are sprayed with 30-50mg/L 20-30 days before harvest to reduce fruit drop.

Pear trees in the pear tree in full bloom with 40mg / L liquid spraying, can save labor, have a good fruit thinning effect.

In kiwifruit, the base of the cuttings were dipped in 200 mg/L naphthalene acetic acid solution for 3 h. After removal, the cuttings were cultivated on a sterilized wet sand bed with moisture to promote rooting of the cuttings.

Foliar spraying with 10-20mg/L solution 2-3 times during the growing period can regulate plant growth and improve the quality of tobacco leaves.

Lemon with 0.1% of the liquid spray lemon tree crown can accelerate fruit maturity, improve yield.

2. Using Effects

1. Prevent from abscission of flowers and pods on bean; Prevent flower dropping on capsicum

1) As for Bean, during the flower and pod stage, use 5~25 mg/kg NAA solution for spray, which can effectively reduce the abscission of flowers and pods.

2) As for Capsicum, during the flowering stage, use 50 mg/kg, spray 4~5 times every 7~10 days, which can obviously increase fruit set, promote fruit growth.

2. Prevent from radish become hollow

25~30 days and 35~40 days after radish seeding, spray 10 mg/kg NAA Hormone, which can prevent hollowing during growth; spray 10 days before harvest, which can prevent hollowing during storage.

3. Contribute to cutting reproduction on vegetables

1) Cut the lateral bine from the cucumber that grown in the open air, 2~3 joints every section, a quick soak in the 500 dilution solution, it will form root after sticking 11 days, the survival rate can reach 85%.

2) Cut the keel with one axillary bud of leaf base on cabbage and cauliflower, a quick soak in 500~1000 dilution solution (Do not soak the bud), sticking under the condition: Temperature(20℃~25℃), Humidity(85%~95%), the rooting survival rate can reach 85~95%.

4. Use as seeds & seedling growth

Soaking seeds with naa hormone can be applied as a simple and effective chemical control tool for cucumber seed germination and seedling growth.
Very low concentrations of NAA have a promotive effect on cucumber seed germination and seedling growth, increasing germination rate, root length, lateral root number, chlorophyll content, and root vigor.
Medium and high concentrations produced inhibitory effects.

Notice

1)1-Naphthylacetic Acid is insoluble in cold water, so it can be dissolved with a small amount of alcohol first, then diluted with water or added with a small amount of water first.
Then add sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) and stir until it is all dissolved.
2)  Autumn white pear with 40mg/L naa will cause yield reduction, too high a concentration will cause deformation, withered leaves, shedding, etc. Fig with 50mg/L or more will cause drug damage. Watermelon, melon with too high a dosage is easy to produce drug damage.

3) When NAA is used as a fruiting agent, be careful to spray only on the flowering apparatus, and to use it in small amounts and several times, and it is better to use it with foliar fertilizers and micronutrients.

4) Flexibility in the dosage used, which should be increased when treating dormant potatoes. For potatoes that are about to sprout, the dosage can be less. For short dormancy, varieties can be appropriate to increase the dosage to extend the storage period. Use it for foliar spraying, different crops or the same crop in different periods of its use concentration is not the same. Must be used in strict accordance with the instructions, do not arbitrarily increase the concentration of use, to avoid drug damage.
