Dora AOS VS PASP on Maize Fertilization

In the quest for higher corn yield and efficient fertilizer use, choosing the right synergist is crucial. A field trial by Suzhou Dora Agritech Co., Ltd. compared Dora AOS and PASP, two leading fertilizer synergists, to determine their impact on corn growth. The results speak volumes—Dora AOS emerges as the top choice for farmers aiming to boost productivity while reducing fertilizer input.

Why Dora AOS Stands Out

The trial, conducted in Changshu, Jiangsu, tested corn variety ‘Yulongnuo 1612’ under three treatments: a control group with full fertilizer, a group with 20% reduced fertilizer plus 0.01% Dora AOS, and a group with 20% reduced fertilizer plus 0.2% PASP. Key findings highlight Dora AOS’s superiority:

  • Hundred-Grain Weight: Dora AOS-treated corn achieved a higher hundred-grain weight (24.83g) compared to PASP (23.28g) and the control (20.93g), indicating plumper, more nutritious grains.
  • Fresh Panicle Dehulling Rate: Both synergists outperformed the control, but Dora AOS (70.77%) slightly edged PASP (70.13%), meaning more edible grain from each ear.
  • Yield: With 20% less fertilizer, Dora AOS increased actual total yield to 680.4kg, a 30.5% rise from the control (521.5kg), while PASP reached 630kg (20.8% increase).
  • Empty Ear Part: Dora AOS minimized empty ear length (4.0cm) and rate (24.91%), surpassing both PASP (4.12cm, 26.75%) and the control (4.36cm, 26.17%), ensuring denser, higher-quality ears.
