How to achieve steady development amidst food crisis?

The food crisis, caused by climate change, soil degradation, or resource shortages, is a major global issue today. Agricultural professionals must address and pursue the goal of achieving steady growth amidst this crisis. Biostimulants, as a sustainable modern agricultural tool, play a crucial role in addressing this crisis. The following are recommendations and applications of biostimulants in food crises:

△Climate Abnormalities – Improving crop resilience to heat, cold, drought, and excess water.

△Soil Degradation – Improving soil fertility and biodiversity.

△Resource Scarcity – Enhancing plant vitality, yield, and quality.

2.Recommendations for biostimulants in response to food crises

2.1 Seaweed (Kelpreal, Alganeo) Seaweed offers a sustainable alternative for improving soil fertility and crop yields.

Kelpreal contains several essential elements, such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium, and zinc. These elements are beneficial to plant growth and soil health. Kelpreal is also rich in cytokinins, plant growth hormones that act both above and below ground, promoting root growth.

Alganeo is a natural soil conditioner that promotes soil aggregate formation, increases pore space, and balances the solid-liquid-gas ratio in the soil.

Application Case:

In September 2020, our Malaysian customer used Dora KelpReal and pesticides on their durian trees. Compared to the pesticide group (CK), the durian trees treated with KelpReal grew stronger and avoided pesticide damage. The durian trees developed more lateral branches and grew more vigorously after using Dora KelpReal.

2.2 Amino acids (such as fish protein)-as an organic nitrogen source and biostimulant that can be directly absorbed by plants, can help cope with the food crisis from multiple dimensions, such as rapid nitrogen replenishment, stress resistance and yield increase, and improved fertilizer utilization rate.

FishAmino contains a large amount of organic matter, peptides, biopolysaccharides, etc., and is mostly used in crop nutrition, soil conditioner, and crop stress resistance enhancement.Improve soil fertility, enrich soil nutrients, loosen the soil, maintain the biomass of microorganisms and earthworms, and ensure a healthy soil environment. Increase crop yields by 10%-40%. Improve crop resistance to stress.

Conclusion: In the context of resource shortage and climate deterioration, seaweed fertilizer and amino acids provide an economically feasible and environmentally friendly solution to food security through the three-in-one effect of “yield increase + stress resistance + soil fertilization”.
